Harvard-educated | Director | Law | Educator | Global Advocate

Sofia Rinvil is an astute, quadrilingual, Ivy League-trained executive, legal professional, and global advocate dedicated to bridging innovation, regulation, and sustainable development. Based in Manhattan, she has spent over a decade working at the intersection of corporate law, public policy, and the nonprofit sector to advance economic empowerment, social innovation, and civil rights.

Sofia’s robust legal background bridges high-stakes corporate environments with community-driven economic development. She has worked at a prestigious business law firm on Wall Street and served with impactful legal nonprofit organizations across New York and New Jersey. A fierce advocate for micro-equity and grassroots entrepreneurship, Sofia has spearheaded initiatives helping micro-enterprises obtain pro bono legal services from AM 100 law firms and New York law schools to satisfy their business needs.

Her legal acumen is matched by an extensive public service portfolio: she started her career as a student teacher in Palm Beach County focusing on high school reading intervention and an AmeriCorp member. She later scaled her impact by serving as a legislative staffer for both the New York City Council and the New York State Senate, a coordinator at the Jersey City Mayor’s Office, an intern at three different State Attorney General offices, and a strategic operative on congressional and gubernatorial political campaigns.

A true champion for underrepresented populations, Sofia seamlessly balances her political and legal work with high-level nonprofit governance. She serves as the Director of Scholarship Programs for the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP) and is the former Programming Officer for the Black Alumni Council of Columbia University.

Sofia holds advanced degrees from Columbia University and the University of Southern California. Recognized globally for her influence, she has been named to the MIPAD Global Top 100 Under 40 list, the American Bar Association (ABA) Pro Bono Honor Roll, and previously served as a UNA-USA Global Goals Ambassador at the United Nations.

As a Dreambassador, Sofia combines her executive nonprofit direction, grassroots educational foundations, law experience, legislative expertise, and extensive acumen to advocate for global change and empower the next generation of leaders. Her journey shows students how seemingly different interests can come together to shape a meaningful career.
